Slice of Life – Day 1

Its Wednesday.  Another day sitting at my desk trying to find motivation to work.  There is hope on the horizon.  I’m trying to remain optimistic.  Only time will tell.  But for me time and changes can’t happen fast enough.  My work journey started out like a dream — part time, working from home, limited travel, fun people to interact with, doing a job I loved.  Over time that dream has lost some of its sunshine and has become clouded with tension and pessimism.  I don’t like it.  I don’t like how the pessimism is making me grumpy and negative.  Its not healthy.  But as I said — there is hope on the horizon.  There is a new leader in town.   Hoorah – Hoorah!

Good luck getting out of the rut or job, whichever it is that’s causing your grumpiness and negativity. Hating a job is horrible and can corrupt the rest of your lift.

Welcome. 🙂 What a great line — “Over time that dream has lost some of its sunshine.” You’re right, it is a constant battle to stay optimistic.
    Happy writing, Ruth

Good luck and stay optimistic. Even the worst jobs can be made better (in most cases) by our own attitudes.

Do you like to cook? Do you have a favorite recipe? All it takes is a recipe and a story to enter the Women’s Memoirs Writing Contest: http://womensmemoirs.com/contests/

    Good luck with SOLSC.

Ooops, that should be “you’re”, not “your”. I was trying to go too fast.
